There are many variations in cooking this dish. You may cook it with beef, pork or chicken. You may use ground peanuts or peanut butter. However, if we’re going to prepare each ingredient separately, it’ll take some time to prepare. In today’s busy lifestyle, fast is the norm. So instead, I’ll show you how to prepare it as fast as possible. We’ll then just use the ready-mix ingredients. I cooked this dish using pork pata with a variety of vegetables, creamy peanut butter, and kare-kare mix.
We make the sauce creamy although we still need to add vegetables and some other spices to make it tastier and creamier as we want it to be.
I use kare-kare (Knorr) mix as it already has toasted rice, ground peanuts, and annatto powder. Almost all the spices I need are packed in one sachet. However, it doesn’t give the texture and thickness that I want, so I still add creamy peanut butter to make the soup thicker and creamier. That and the consistency of the soup is very important, but having said that, it all still depends on your preference. If you want the sauce to be thicker, then add more peanut butter.
It is easy to cook this recipe, just follow the instruction and you’ll get it right off the bat. So I hope you try it on your own.
