Sinigang na Sugpo (Prawns in Sour Soup)
This morning I went to the wet market to buy fish, but when I saw the prawns, I said wow! they are very fresh and big, so I bought it right away. Many people queue for their fish to be cleaned, but I skipped that, so I got my order fast! 🙂
I cooked this dish with a variety of vegetables on it like green chili pepper, eggplant, long string beans, white radish and kangkong leaves. I love adding white radish to my sinigang as it neutralizes the sourness and adds a hint of sweetness to the broth.
In my version, I sauteed the garlic, onions, and tomatoes. It tastes even more exciting! 😉 My taste bud still remembers the one served at Ihaw-Ihaw Kalde-Kaldero at Kawa-Kawali in Quezon City, 10 years ago.
Here is my sinigang na sugpo.
